I can really use these tips. I’m not a food photographer but the tips about the types of lenses for macro photography will definitely come in handy while my husband and I are searching for a DSLR upgrade. I’ve been using an entry level camera for a few years now and ready to expand my work.

Thank you very much @crosheille , I am glad that I have introduced my work to you in a good way! Upgrading camera you say. There is a ton of options out there. I would totally check the Sony line. I think they offer a lot for the bucks. However, phone cameras are getting crazy lately as well. I must admit, I am looking new iPhone. Will wait till the end of the year so the prices might drop a bit and maybe buy one. You know the saying "The best camera is that one you with you". I think I had about 3 "National Geographic Shot of the Year" chances, but no camera on me. Well, the camera was there, but in my backpack and I wouldn't be discrete with it anymore. If my phone could make some crazy good photos I could take them and maybe squeeze out that shot...

Thanks for the suggestions. Right now we have a Cannon EOS Rebel T6. We were going to try to stick with the Cannon line but I'm also up for checking out Sony ;)

Ahhh yes, Canon team, I got it. I'm not related to any model, but I am sure you will find some great deals. I heard some great stuff about EOS R6EOS R6, but damn it doesn't come cheap.
