Succulent plants are mostly grown for their leaves and pretty rosette shape (most). The flowers, though nice, are not always they most showy and only a read succulent maniac can appreciate them.
They do need some closer inspection to see the whole magic going on. The textures, colours and shapes are pretty amazing.
This is Echeveria Black Prince. The flowers are nor big - 1.5cm max, but the have the darkest and most intensive red colour of all the succulent flowers I have.
The leaves are also very dark green and catch amazing brown-red colour in the sun.
The shape is quite typical. A small bell shaped bloom on a long stem. But look at all the little patterns and sparkles. This is something I don't see when I just look at it. But the camera and quite a bit of zoom can catch it.
Yep, I grow them just to take photos :)
