Dreaming of heading back to Tokyo. Been to long with the Pandemic. Such a never ending treasure trove of the endless to the minute. A few of my shots from over the years there. The first is a wet shiny night at Shibuya crossing, one of the busiest in the world.
The next shot is looking North towards Tokyo Tower (332.9 metres or 1,092 ft). At the time of construction in 1958 Tokyo Tower was the tallest freestanding tower in the world, taking the title from the Eiffel Tower by 13 metres.
The third is the door to the emperors’ palace.
The final shot is a small part of Tokyo. Depending on where you draw the boundaries there are between 9 million and 38 million people living in Tokyo. The population of the special inner wards is over 9 million people, with the total population of Tokyo prefecture coming in over 13 million. When combined with the surrounding areas the prefecture forms part of the world's most populous metropolitan area of 37.8 million people.

That last one just boggles my mind on how dense Tokyo is.
Yep it's crazy
More than wonderful pictures, as well as professional photography and the night nature that makes Tokyo the city of dreams for any photographer. Thank you for these pictures. I hope to visit this fairy capital
Hope you make it there one day mate
thank u
This is amazing
Thanks
It's so big O_O
Think my parents and my sister went there once for a holiday after I'd moved out of home. On the one hand I kind of wish I'd been able to go with them, on the other I'm kind of glad that I didn't as that level of density would have done my head in.
Those night shots are fantastic. That door looks really old O_O
Amazing city if you get the chance
That's a mind-blowing number of people living in one place. Makes London seem quite parochial in comparison. A lovely collection of shots. :)
Amazing place to shoot if you get the chance
lovely pictures. you did a good job.
Thanks ;-)
Would love to go too, looks amzing!
Hope you get to see it
I love all your photos, but I particularly like the door to the emperor's pslace. It is very evocative. I have always wanted to go to Japan. I was there briefly, in the airport, on the way to and from Thailand in 2013, but that's not really visiting!
Thanks. The detail in the little things are what make Tokyo so special
wow these photos are mind blowing
specially the Tokyo tower one ! what a perfect shot.
Hi. Sorry to tell you but the first picture is not the famous Shibuya crossing but it's another one just a couple of hundred meters away :)
You have me on a technicality there ;-)
Love that last shot!
Yes crazy dense
