Three months have passed since the beginning of student protests in Serbia. The last one was held on March 1st in the city of Niš, where thousands of people from all over Serbia gathered. On that occasion, the Student Edict was proclaimed.
Students who have been blocking more than 60 faculties across the country since the end of November are demanding criminal and political responsibility for the tragedy in Novi Sad, as well as the prosecution of those responsible for the attacks on them and other citizens during the protests.
Serbian society has been infected with corrupt practices for years, and there is no end in sight to the totalitarian regime. Recent history clearly shows that previous generations are tired of fighting old ills and are quite indifferent to the events around them. Serbia has become fertile ground for political games, manipulation and criminal acts. The awakening as such could have come precisely from the young people who have been showing for months that they have both the strength and knowledge to put an end to corruption and the interests of a few.
Rebellion until the demands are met!
