With the weather warming up, I have noticed some spike like nodes forming on the cherry trees. I can see hints of green inside some of them so I think they are leaves forming. These pictures were taken in early March, and will post some more in the next few weeks as they develop more. Looking forward to seeing when they flower, to figure out how close it is to my mason bee season.

The tips of the stems of the cherry trees are changing, not sure if they will be flowers or leaves yet.. too early to tell.
From another angle some coloring can be seen inside of the spike like nodes. All four of my cherry trees started forming these around the same time. I wonder which one will form its first leaf sets first. I have two Lapins, one Black tartarian, and one Minnie royal.
These nodes are forming all over the tree.. Just about everywhere, except where the graft was joined.. Which is good, if they were forming below the graft I may have some massive trees. All of these cherry trees I have are semi dwarfs, so hoping I can keep them under control in a smaller space. One day id like to have the full sized fruit trees, but I hear good things about the semi dwarfs so I figured they are worth a try.
This will be their first full year in the ground so I hope we get some flowers, we shall see. Ill need more than one of them to to blossom to form fruit so it may be a couple years before they are all flowering.
