WHAT I LEARNED IN THE TOPIC: Does God want all things, including evil, to happen? | MCGI

in MCGI Cares Hive2 days ago

In this world, not everything that happens is God’s will.

There are pains that happen that are contrary to the Will of God. For instance, in Exodus 20:14 God commands us to stay away from adultery, but many people go against this command. Why? It is because God gave every man a free will. This free will is a gift from God to all human beings.

Thou shalt not commit adultery. Exodus 20:14

Similarly, angels were given a free will by God to worship and honor Him. The essence of this free will is to show how much we love and respect God without compulsion. He is pleased when we willingly submit to Him. He is pleased when we obey Him without force, without anyone dictating for us, etc. Unlike some religion that practices their belief by forced indoctrination (sometimes to an extent of a gunpoint), Christians are given a free will to decide if to follow Jesus or not.

God is a God that is pleased on persons obeying Him with faith and free will irrespective of the surrounding temptations. So, whatever happens to a person cannot be concluded to be God’s will. It can possible be either will of the person or the will of the devil dwelling in the person. Bro Eli reflected to the story of Mary Magdalene who was possessed of seven demons to do the will of the devil. Meaning her past life was controlled by the devil until she encountered Jesus. God gave us our own free will and allows us to decide what we want for ourselves. Deuteronomy 30:19

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! source

Our liberty in the sight of our creator is for us to make our own choice. However, despite giving us a free will, He still gives us His concern (… choose life that ye may live).
Conclusively, not everything that happens is happening because God wants it to happen.

LEO Power Up Day - October 15, 2024

I hope this letter finds you well and thriving in your creative endeavors on this incredible platform. I'm writing today to address a topic that is close to my heart and essential for the growth and prosperity of our community: engagement.

It's fantastic to see many of you actively posting content, sharing your perspectives, talents, and insights. It enriches us all and makes Hive a diverse and stimulating place to be. However, let us not forget that Hive is not just a platform for broadcasting our voices but also an arena for interaction, dialogue, and communal growth.

If you're someone who regularly posts content, I encourage you to also take some time to explore the work of others. Upvote the posts that resonate with you, offer thoughtful comments, and consider reblogging content that you find exceptionally valuable. Your engagement doesn't have to stop at the boundaries of your own posts; in fact, it's through collective interaction that we can truly build a community that thrives on meaningful discourse.

There is a certain magic that occurs when we don't just speak, but also listen; when we don't just take, but also give. This sense of reciprocity not only enriches our individual experiences but also fortifies the Hive community as a whole.

I understand that we all lead busy lives, and time is a precious commodity. However, even small acts of engagement can create ripples that turn into waves of positive change and growth for all of us. So let’s embrace this not as a chore, but as an opportunity to amplify the heartbeat of this extraordinary community we are all a part of.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. I look forward to seeing how we can elevate the Hive experience collectively, by contributing not just content but also the valuable currency of engagement.

Best regards,
@mcgi.cares
