Greetings to everyone here once again. I am very excited to be part of this community, and today I would like to write about and share with you guys an exciting topic about which I was sent a video to watch and learn from. The topic for discussion today is "Dealing with Depressed Teens (Part 4 of 4) | The Old Path." Follow me as we discuss this topic today.
Brother Eli stated at the start of the video, "In spite of those frustrations that we can encounter along the way, life is worth living. Life is good." Also, Brother Eli advised parents to look at their daughters, be much concerned about them, and give them the utmost protection and the utmost affection for them.
We must ensure we give them concern in their dealings, even the bible states it clearly that we must care for our children. We must make sure that we eat with them if not from the same bowl but from the same table.
Parents must find quality time and quality period with their children. Anytime they have free period we can play and wine with them so as to make them feel at home. It is also encouraging to have a dining table where we can eat with our parents and the elders so that they can advise us and also share with us interesting stories that would teach us some lessons.
If we do that, they would be no situations of murder, depression, etc in our families. Brother Eli used himself as an example of how his parents brought him up and taught him to be a good Christian. Even today we can see him teaching around the globe as a Pastor. This is really a good impact of good treatment or upbringing to children.
We as parents must show our children that they are loved. We shouldn't hate them, we should rather show them love, and concern and let them understand that we love them. If a child who is depressed will feel the love and the warmth of the care of the parent, the mother, or the father, maybe that depression will be relieved.
Also, parents must also teach their children the word of God so they can learn about their religion. Doing so, will help your child to be spiritually guided as well. Life is worth living, inspire by all those frustrations that we can encounter along the way.
This is where I end my topic, and I would like to use this opportunity to say a very big thank you to everyone and also to the administrators and moderators of this community for the wonderful efforts they are putting into the community. I say God bless you all.
