Zoom, Day 4 session of Mass Indoctrination, 13/01/2022

This is the doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ taught by Bro Eli Soriano, you can watch the video from the link below,

What are the important points we have learned from God's words discussed in the Zoom meeting?

A petition to God or a supplication to God is referred to as prayer(Philippians 4:6).

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Do not be weary for prayer, pray continually.
We should not repeat our prayers in vain, and we should only pray to God. Catholics pray to Mary, God's Creation, rather than God. This is completely incorrect.

Don't just pray when you're sick or in need of God's help; we should pray constantly. Brethren are encouraged to improve their prayer lives. Prayer is the mechanism by which we let God know our deepest desires, and it is recommended that we keep it short and to the point.

We will not just pray to God but we have obligation that comes with praying, that must be fulfilled before praying.

We should always approach God with a pure heart. When we have enough food to eat, we should always give thanks to God for providing it. We should pray before going to bed and first thing in the morning to ensure that God will guide us throughout the day.

When a righteous man prays, God listens. Simply expressed, if one harbours wickedness in his heart, God will not listen to him. God does not listen to anyone who prays with a filthy heart, so make sure you have a pure heart before you pray to Him. 2 Timothy 2:22.

Men's hearts are wicked, and only God knows and rewards each man's heart, so when a man prays with wickedness in his heart, God will not listen (Jeremiah 17:9). Anyone who prays should abstain from evil, iniquity, womanising and any form of sin. Because the word of God has the power to cleanse our hearts, we should let it dwell in our hearts.

All thoughts, whether bad or benign, originate in the heart Matthew 15:19.
Even if you are married, you must clear any misunderstandings with your partner before praying.

1 Peter 3:7 God commanded Husbands to honour their wives and treat them with care for they are weaker vessels. By so doing, your prayers will not be hindered

Ephesians 4:31 For God to hear us we need to clean our heart with the word of God. And for the word of God to clean you, you must allow it grow, germinate and bring forth fruits in your heart.

James 3:6-8 The tongue cannot be tamed, so do not misuse your tongue as it can bring fire upon all other parts of the body, rather let your mouth be full of word of grace.
Let us flee from deceit or deception. Let your yes be yes and your no be no.

What are our old beliefs or expectations that were improved by listening in the Zoom meeting?
I understand now that before God can hear my prayer there is an expectation he is looking out for, this expectation is that "I should obey his word and keep my heart clean with the word of God".

How does the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives?
These are what I need to do to improve myself to a better person:-

Praying without vain repetition, making it precise.
Let my Yes be Yes and No be No.
Pray with a pure heart.
Obeying God for by so doing he will listen to my prayers.
I should use my tongue wisely.

We are inviting you to join the MCGI Cares (Hive) community that study the words of God and also earn some reward by making our reactions on it. We can check this link https://peakd.com/c/hive-182074/trending

Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
