POINTS OF WHAT I LEARNED.
I learned that Reconciliation is very important in the life of every believer because it makes us holy before God. We should reconcile with those who wronged us.
When we accept and believe in Christ,we are transformed and equipped to become ministers of reconciliation. It means we do not just receive the gift of peace with God,but we also inherit the responsibility to share that gift with other.
The call to Reconciliation extends beyond humanity's relationship with God. It impact our relationship with one another.
Obviously, life is just better when we are able to live in peace with one another, but living in agreement and followship serves another purpose too. We should live in harmony with one another. When the world sees God's people living at peace,it awakens the deep hunger we all have to love and to be loved.
Reconciliation has much to do with transformation;it is the moving from a place of separation,hurt to a place of healing, wholeness, forgiveness and reunion. Reconciliation is taking the wrong and covering it with the cleansing power of God. Throughout the pages of the bible,we see God,in His great love for humanity, extending many opportunities for the people who find their way back to Him. Only through Christ do we see God's true and ultimate message of Reconciliation, our path back to Him.
Reconciliation is more than forgiveness. It is acknowledging the need for forgiveness and then allowing transformation and unity to occur. Christ offers Reconciliation by paying the debt of our sins. We can not be reconciled to God if we are not reconciled to those that offended us.
As members of God's household,we are brothers and sisters,we are one big body, working together as a whole. We can not be whole in God if we are not one with the brethren.
In Matthew 5:24, the word of God made us to know that if we have issue with a brother or sister but approach the alter of God with gift,we should leave our gift on the alter and go and reconcile first with them. We should offer our sacrifice to God without any burden in our heart. Our offering of thanksgiving to God should be done in one accord.
We can not be in agreement to follow the will of God if we are not in agreement with one another. We should use the word of God lawfully and not for excuse. It is important that we have nothing against one another because we can not walk in company if we are not in agreement with one another. We should not allow the devil to bring in what will cause separation among us.
