POINTS OF WHAT I LEARNED.
I learned that it is the will of God for us to attain sanctification. And for us to attain sanctification,we must learn to practice self-control when it comes to our tongue.
Although with our own effort as humans,we can not tame our tongue therefore we should rely on God to help us. We should be conscious of our words because what comes out of our mouths may sanctify or condemn us. We should always meditate on the word of God because when we are addicted to God's word,evil will not processed out of our mouths.
We should learn to speak words that will inspire, comfort, encourage and edify. What comes out from our mouth indicate what is in our heart,so we should be mindful of what we say.
When the thoughts of our heart are focused on what is good and true, our words will reflect it thereby bringing honor to God and others. We should control our words. We should be a good example to those outside the church. There should be self-control in exercising holiness. We should not use offensive words against our brethren and those outside.
For us to avoid conflict with people around us,we should speak gently. The words we speak should be seasoned with grace so as not to stir up anger.
According to the bible,there is time for everything including time to talk and time not to take.
In the world today,we have so many means to use our tongue, not only in person but through Instagram, Twitter, Facebook.etc. In all these social media platforms,we should learn to control our tongues.

HOW DOES THE STUDY AFFECT ME?
Through our lesson,I have learned that the things we spend time on affect how we talk. So we should spend more of our time in the things God and not on idle talk or gossips.
