God is loving and compassionate, but He becomes upset with those who know His words and refuse to abide by them.
All God wants from us His children is total obedience. When we walk in His ways we will prosper and He will conquer kingdoms for our sake.
In today's preaching, Bro Eli explained to us that we are suffering because of our own sins and our own misdeeds, if not for the disobedience of humanity there wouldn't have been sufferings on this earth.
God created man according to His image and likeness, according to the scripture.
Man was created pure and even, man was created without stress, without death, without sickness, or any kind of sufferings that happens to the life of a man. Man was God's pride when he was created.
Adam and Eve were commanded by God to eat of all the fruits in the garden but for a particular one they shouldn't.
Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV)
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Death will only come because of the disobedience of man.
If they had obeyed God they wouldn't have experienced death.

Man is the architect of his own problems, yes, man is suffering because of his own misdeeds.It is not God's wish and intention to see us suffer, God has good and beautiful thoughts for us.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
