We should beware of evil so that Satan does not use them to arrange for our downfall, also, God repays people according to their works, either for good or for bad. That God is loving and compassionate does not mean we should continue in our sinfull ways, God forbid.
Romans 6:1-2
:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
When we turn our face from God and show Him our back, by turning our face to Him, we embrace the light but when we turn our back to Him, we face the darkness.
That is why, in order to save the people, the Apostle Paul was commanded by the Lord Jesus to open their eyes and to turned them from darkness to that marvellous light.
Acts 26: 18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
It is obvious that the cause of all evil is Satan, by we have turned to Satan instead of God. Most people prefer what is wrong than what is right, and they are walking towards the direction of sin and everything that involves sin.
We are now experiencing wars, famine, earthquakes and pestilences due to our sins and as a result of us, turning our back to God rather than turning our face to Him.
