Hello good evening everyone and happy new to everyone as well😘. Is by the grace of God that we are still alive today.
I was wondering today at church what message could possibly be preached today so I could kick off my year well and just as I was wondering, God was having something great for me today through His Servant.
Title: what is it, that you have done.
Key Text was taken from 1 Samuel 13:13
Reading the whole chapter of the verse, is one of the sad story in the scriptures and it really points to wait or patients that most Christians don’t have.
Saul because of the pressure from the people embarked on something that he shouldn’t have. Samuel told him to wait for for 7days, he waited and Samuel was not coming, the pressure was getting hotter, he couldn’t withstand it so he did the will of the people.
After which Samuel showed up.
Now verse 10
And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
11 And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
12 Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering.
13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
Verse 14 which continue to say
But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.
Victory was about to happen to Saul, his kingdom was about to established but he hurried himself and loss everything.
Many Christian’s are in the same pipe line, some are facing the pressure of getting marriage, having children, work, money and so on, some have done silly and foolish things just as Saul did they have forsaken the patience of God.
In 2022, all that we need to do is to allow God to work in us, wait for him even if the pressure becomes hot like fire. The Bible says they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strength, they shall fly with eagle wings, that is the promised of the lord and that is what 2022 is all about. We shouldn’t be intimated by any pressure from family members, friends, worldly things to do foolish things just as Saul did.
God time will always be the best. Even if He doesn’t answer us, He is still God and nothing can change.
Our prayer request is just around the corner and we must develop the habit of waiting.
Surely 2022 will be a great year for us all.
This is the message I received today and I think my friends too will be interested.
