Doing good start with God.
Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.
It is the desire and Obligation of man to know the word of God and those who seek Him will find Him.
Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
What race are you from?
In which ever race you come from God has a commandment that we may seek Him.
Acts 18:2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome) and came unto them.
Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Matthew 13:3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;13:4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:13:5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:13:6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.13:9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Meaning Of The Parable
• The Seed - Is the word of God
Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
• Those seed that fell along the way side.
Luke 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
• Those that fell on rock sides
Luke 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
• Those that fell in thrones.
Luke 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
• Those that fell on good grounds.
Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
One thing we need to remind ourselves with is that the church is not composed of only good peoples, but the will of God is that he want all of us to be saved. So for this we need to discern our hearts.
Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
We should know the work of the Holy Spirit .
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Psalm 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Brethren we should stop blasphemy for us to receive the mercies of God.
1 Timothy 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
There are many peoples that joined the church but those that are washed are those that are baptized.
1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
