Hello Ladies and Gentlemen peace be with you all. Today am glad to be in your midst. Let me share with you the summary of what I learnt on our live zoom meeting on Mass Indoctrination of our Lord Jesus Christ, the pure doctrines of God.
How To Pray To God
Praying is a commandments of Christ and we have to do it as his followers as He did and taught us.
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
God hate sinners and for that matter many believers prayers are not heard by God and therefore pray in vain. For this we need to know what to do for God to accept and answer our prayers.
What Is The Appropriate Manner Of Prayers
We should not repeat words when we pray. God knows what we need so repeatition of words is forbid by God.
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. God in heavens already know or needs.
If a person is upright, his/her prayer will be heard and answered so there is no need to repeat words when praying.
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
Ecclesiastes 5:1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
Prayers is a private matter between a man and God so we should not how of to people's to see when we are praying.
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
The Right Position Of Praying According To The Bible
There is a provision in the Bible for us to stand and pray but not like the hypocrite.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
We are taught by Christ that we should kneel down when we pray and not stand to show the hypocrite
Acts 20:36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.
Matthew 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
A woman should cover her head when praying and a man should not cover his head when praying.
1 Corinthians 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
Why Should A woman Cover Her Head But A Man Should Not Cover His Head During Prayers
1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.11:8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
