Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, peace be with you all. Today am delighted to share with you the summary of the lessons I learnt during our zoom meeting on Mass Indoctrination of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We Have An Obligation Before God To Do Good
The act of showing kindness to someone is a character of God, for this reason God urge us to do good to all manner of persons. We should do good to the evil and the brothers that share the same faith with us. The servant of God is the true church.
Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
As a member of the church of God, we should let our light bring light in the lives of others. Out manner of life can bring forth the light in others.
Why God Want Us To Be The Light Of The World
God said we should be the light of the world so that people may know Him as we portray that act.
1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
As we do good to people and let them see the light we have found in us, it helps people to also know the good work of God and therefore glorify our Father in heaven.
Romans 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
Another Way We Can Let People See The Light In Us is For Wives to Humble Themselves Before Her Husband
God edge all women to be submissive to their husbands.
1 Peter 3:1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives.
In short we need to let people see God through our lives
