Hearing and listening are never the same. You may hear the word of God but never listen to it. If you hear the word of God, it means you heard or knew someone is talking but if you listen to the word of God, it mean you hear and act according to what you have heard. A lot of us these days only hear the word of God but never listen to them.
Let’s hear on reason why that happen.
Psalms 115:4 says, the idols and silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Some people so much believe in their idols. It’s so funny how so many people believe in the idols that they create with their own hands. Once some people begin to believe in idols, no matter what they hear about God, they will never listen because they are so much attached to the idols.
Actually, the Holy Spirit helps us to listen to God but that’s when you leave your body for the Holy Spirit so you can listen to God.
Let’s not forget that people who listen to God are those who will make the Kingdom of Heaven.
If that’s the only reason why we’d listen to God, we should try to hear and as wel listen to His words.
