Christians do not pay for anything!!!! It’s very important to understand this. We all are believers and followers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And if we follow the scriptures well, we’d see that we are not supposed to pay any money or tithe whatsoever.
Let’s check 2 Corinthians 11:7 which says, Have I committed an offense in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely.
The part freely is what I want we all to focus on. This means that the person who made this statement is saying that he preached gospel to the freely without collecting a dime.
The fact that we do not have to pay for anything does not mean that tithes are not being paid. Tithes are paid according to the Bible in Hebrews 7:9 which says, And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
Paying tithe is a sort of an obligation for we Christians. The only difference is the percentage of amount of you make. Some people say that God said we all should pay 10% of our income as a form of tithe. That might have happened during the days of the Isrealites and the Bible but not anymore.
If I’m making a hundred dollars and I’d need about a hundred and twenty dollars to survive monthly, I won’t pay such money. I can only pay the little I can so that I won’t get affected financially and that’s how it should be.
Yes, you can pay tithes but there is no limit or a particular percentage you should pay. God doesn’t stress us so pay what you can pay.
Also, it’s important to know that gospel is free and we should never pay for it.
