Is Paying Of Tithes Biblical For Christians? || MCGI Topic Review.

The Gospel is meant by God to be preached freely. There should be no form of payment to the pastor for praying for you. And the pastor should not ask the church members for money because he has prayed for them. It is the work of the Lord and should be done freely.

2 Corinthians 11:7 says, Have I committed an offense in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have to preach you the Gospel of God freely?

The word freely here means that the gospel is free and no form of payment whatsoever is to be made to anyone in exchange for gospel.

Well, what if I told you all that tithes are paid. Tithe is different from paying to the pastors in exchange for gospel.
In Hebrews 7:9, the Bible says; And as I may so say, Levi also, receiveth tithes paid tithes also in Abraham.

The tithe is supposed to be paid and the word “paid” makes you realize that tithe is a sort of an obligation for Christians. We as Christians have our obligations as well which makes us better Christians to God our creator and also good Christians in the society.
The sons of Levi in Isreal are the only ones that God asked people to pay tithes to in the old days of Isreal.

In Numbers 18:21, the Bible says; And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

That’s how some people started paying ten percent of their incomes as tithe but after a while, that idea changed. You can pay your tithe but there is no necessarily an amount or percentage that you have to pay as tithe.
