I had a great and wonderful class with Brother Eli Soriano on today’s Mass Indoctrination. Brother Eli really emphasized on how to pray today. As Christians, how do we pray? Yeah, I know the best and proper way to pray is by kneeling down to God to pray and the only time we shouldn’t kneel down is when we are in a car or where we can’t kneel down. But is that all? No, it’s not.
How and what should our heart be like when we pray? We tend to see so many people who have so much evil doings or evil thoughts in their hearts and they still pray to God. Do you think God would love to answer and say yes to such prayer? No!
Jeremiah 17:9 says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
A lot of people have evil heart. If we can open people’s heart, you will realize how evil it can be. As Christians, it is very good to be filled with good thoughts so that God can bless us and also accept pur prayers.
Brother Eli also used Matthew 15:19 to prove his point.
Matthew 15:19 says, For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
People’s heart are not pure but they blame God that he doesn’t answer their prayers. Have you checked your heart? Your heart is mostly the reason why your prayers are not answered. Change your ways and God will answer your prayers.
