Looking for the old path is also looking for the right path in the Bible because the right path is the old path. But, we have to know what that old path is. What is that old path? This is the questions we need to ask ourselves if we are aiming at looking for the right path in the Bible.
The right path which is also the same as the old path is the path of the Lord. In the book of Jeremiah 6:16, the Bible says; Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
In the biok of Isaiah 56:11, the Bible says; Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
In these times that we are, there are some so called prophets or pastors who can be referred to as the greedy dogs because they have never have enough. They have no feeling of satisfaction. They are never satisfied with what they have and that is why they continue to want more no matter how much more they have. They just want to gain.
I think this set of people have failed to realize that life is give and take. We lose sometimes and we gain sometimes but there are some of these people who just want to gain all of the time.
The so called men of God used religion as a means of profit and a way of making money. That’s the wrong and new path. It’s better to go back to the old path, the days when pastors never collected a dime from people because salvation is free.
The old path is indeed the best way to serve God
