No one wants to die nor lose a family member. To so many of us, death is one of the greatest things that can happen to humans and it is the end of our lives. But, one thing which we should understand is that death does not mean evil to those who serve God.
Our death tells us something that is very important. It means that after our lives, we all will face judgement. Brother Eli said, As we face death inevitably, we inevitably also will face the judgement seat of God come the day of judgement.
17:31 of the book of Acts tells us in the Bible that; Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
The death of the Lord, Jesus Christ teaches us something and his resurrection teaches us something else entirely. This tells us that we all will die someday whether we are pleased with it or not and the resurrection of Jesus Christ tells us that we all will face judgement.
I think the aspect of judgement should be able to inform or tell us that truly, there is life after death. If there is one thing we all cannot runaway from, it is death. Even the oldest person in the world, Methuselah died even when people thought he would not die.
This should give us more reason to believe in God and accept that there is a God.
In the book of Ecclesiastis 8:8, the Bible says, There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
No matter how powerful you may seem to be, God has and will never give anyone the power to retain spirits.
