Hello brethren,
I was opportuned to be part of the live broadcast of today's mass indoctrination service . I am here to share with us what I learnt from today's topic " God's desire for man"
Many consider God’s great plan for mankind to consist of the birth and crucifixion of Jesus Christ, as the payment in full for our sins. But salvation is not the completion of God’s desire but only a stepping stone to what is dearest to God’s heart.
God first demonstrated His desire to fellowship with His creation in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8). He walked with Adam and Eve in complete fellowship and love.
God's desire for man is different from what man desire. Man desire for earthly things like having spouse, having money, having children and training them in school.
When these children grows up ,they have their own desires.
The book of Acts 17:26 says "From one human being he created all races of people and made them live throughout the whole earth. He himself fixed beforehand the exact times and the limits of the places where they would live".
Why did God did that?
According to the book of Acts 17:27, it says"He did this so that they would look for him, and perhaps find him as they felt around for him. Yet God is actually not far from any one of us;".
Then verse 28 said "as someone has said, 'In him we live and move and exist.' It is as of your poets have said, 'We too are his children.'
God desire is to seek for him, and know him and repent from our sins.According to the book of Roman 2:4, it says Or perhaps you despise his great kindness, tolerance, and patience. Surely you know that God is kind, because he is trying to lead you to repent.
Brethren we should repent and seek God's face because it is our obligation to seek God.
Let us repent and be not among those that live in this world without God according to the book of Ephesians 2: 12
At that time you were apart from Christ. You were foreigners and did not belong to God's chosen people. You had no part in the covenants, which were based on God's promises to his people, and you lived in this world without hope and without God.
We should heed to the word of God, let us not be like the seed that falls on thorns. according to the book of Matthew 13:7 ,Some of the seed fell among thorn bushes, which grew up and choked the plants. Thorns are ambitions, riches, pleasures, vices e.t.c.
But, let be like seed that falls on the good soil.According to Matthew 13:8" But some seeds fell in good soil, and the plants bore grain: some had one hundred grains, others sixty, and others thirty".
Don't worry if your heart has many vices, God can still put a new heart in us that he has promised us in the book of Ezekiel 36:26;"I will give you a new heart and a new mind. I will take away your stubborn heart of stone and give you an obedient heart.
