MASS INDOCTRINATION DAY 9 LESSON

in MCGI Cares Hive4 years ago

Hello brethren.

My name is Chukwuka Blessing Oluchukwu.

Today is the 22nd day of April 2021.

I am here to share with us what I learnt from the topic of today's mass indoctrination service tagged," Singing praises to God".

Do you sing? I don’t mean, “Do you sing well enough to join a choir?” I mean, “Do you find your joy in the Lord welling up so much that it spills over into singing?” When you’re alone and when you come together with God’s people, do you find yourself wanting to burst forth in heartfelt praise to God for who He is and what He’s done for you? If you don’t sing to the Lord, your prayer life is deficient. Singing praises to God is a vital part of prayer.

David, the man after God’s heart, sang many of his prayers to the Lord. David composed at least half of the psalms, which, we need to remember, were to be sung, not just read. He was always singing, even when he was in a cave, hiding to save his life (Ps. 57). He has much to teach us about prayer and, especially, about the aspect of praise in prayer.

I’m convinced that one of the main reasons God called David a man after God’s own heart was that David was a man of praise.

We're to sing to God with grace in our hearts , according to the book of
Colossians 3:16.Our God does not praise himself, so it's our duty to praise him.

Praises move God, while prayers move mountains.

Isaiah 55:12
“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Luke 19:40 “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”

Luke 19:37-40 says
As the multitude of disciples were singing praises to God, saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” the Pharisees said to Jesus “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”

Habakkuk 2:11
For the stone will cry out from the wall, and the beam from the woodwork respond.

Acts 16:25 -27 tells us how Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God and how the chains fells off on all the prisoners.

Psalm 148:1-14 encourages us to always Praise the Lord! praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord! For he commanded and they were created.

Singing hymns, spiritual songs and Psalms should always be present in the gathering of Christians.

Thanks for reading.
