I want to make a contribution to the topic... Is there punishment for those who mistranslated the Bible?*
God go against those who add or subtract from his word and his word is supreme.
Taking away from God's word is like taking away another personality of God and God doesn't want that ,before we were formed he knew us, and it would be a huge misconduct to try to help God or take away from is word.
Revelation 2:18
For I testify unto every man that hearth the word of the prophecy of this book if any man shall add unto him the plague that are written in this book.
Revelation 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the word of the book of this prophecy ,God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from things which are written in this book.
It is not an instant physical death but it is a curse that will eventually happen to that man.
It will come to pass that the plagues will be upon those who add to the Bible.
We must not question God ,he knows how to deal with people in any giving time and
We must not question God.
He knows how to deal with People in any given time or given Place.
God has his dealings with people who we cannot question.
Romans 9:20 Nay but, O Man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why hast thou made me thus?
Can we question God? NO
On that principle, I'm going to answer the question that is, when two men were instantaneously killed when they tried to lift their hands to touch the ark of covenant.
The Ark of Covenant is a sacred thing.
God does not allow anyone to touch it. There are assigned people who can hold the ark but not designed to uzzah .
He was punished by God, there and then .He died spontaneously.
He had done something wrong to Almighty God.
This is very relevant to the question why in the time of Old Testament when people seems to be reckless holding the scriptures even translators are polluting the scriptures why did God not punish them.
This is because they was already a pronounced punishment.
It is not instant death but a curse.
Revelation 22:18.
It is only with Obedience that we can walk with God.
Not partial or half Obedience because there are laid down consequences.
I pray God will help us to be upright and faithful to the end .Amen.
