God evening friends and welcome to another exciting edition of this gospel.
The topic of the gospel is HOW SHOULD A SINGLE CHRISTIAN WOMAN LEAVE HER LIFE ? and was brought to us by Bro Eli and Bro Daniel. Our text was taken from
- 1 Corinthians 7:32-35
32 I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairs—how he can please the Lord.
33 But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife—
34 and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband.
35 I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.
In this passage, Apostle Paul emphasised on the advantage of serving God as a single lady or man. This is because a single Christian has more time to give to God and less distraction, while it Is the opposite for a married Christian.
Although we are meant to understand that single people care more about God than married people ,
But don't be taken away, he is not telling us that marriage is bad , but trying to highlight being single can give room for undivided attention to God.
So as a single woman how do you live your life ?, leave it in such a way that it pleases God, your attention should be focused on doing the things of God.
Jesus Christ is the perfect example of this he did not marry and was focused on serving g
God and the people. When you are married, some distractions comes along with it , you are distracted by your family , you are distracted by your children ,byou are distracted by your husband.
So according to brother Eli live your life on Earth, caring to please the lord and also the things of the Lord.
Don't also forget to engage in charity as they also please God.
