The doctrines of Jesus Christ reveal to us that we, followers of Jesus, are a people of prayers. How could we ever live in this world without prayers? How could we combat the evil forces standing up against us without crying to our God on a daily basis? How could we survive the bad, harsh conditions of livelihood which this world offers us without living a life of prayers?
Prayer is a way we express our minds before our God. It is our means of communication with God. It is a medium through which we make our request and needs known unto God. Prayer is our compass to navigate through this horrible world. Prayer is our light with which we will find our way in a dark world.
Jesus taught us to pray always. He said we should pray without ceasing. He admonished us to pray continually. The doctrine of the church has prayer as one of its main stem. So, the christian life is a life of prayer.
We are to pray for ourselves so that we will have grace to do the will of God. We are to pray for the brethren in the church. We are to pray for our leaders so that they will govern us well. We are to pray for even our enemies. The Bible teaches us to pray for everyone.
Prayer is the weapon of every child of God to fight our enemies
