When we decide to put all our trust in God, we will face all challenges with greater courage because we have the assurance that God is with us and helps us to overcome.
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying: 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, and go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to the children of Israel. 3 Every place where the sole of your foot will tread, I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and Lebanon to the great river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the great sea where the sun sets, will be your territory. 5 No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people an inheritance in the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, and be careful to do according to all the Law that Moses my servant commanded you; do not turn aside from it to the right or to the left, that you may prosper in all that you do. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. 9 See, I command you to be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:1-9
It is important that as we go through the Bible we find many brave men and we can ask ourselves, what do Joshua, Daniel, the apostle Paul or the disciples of the Lord have in common? We may think that they all had in common the fact that they are followers of Christ but here the common denominator is the courage that they had simply by trusting their lives in the hands of God.
Let us remember that Joshua was called to be a leader in guiding the people towards the promised land, he could have thought many things such as, what if the people do not support me as their leader? And many other questions, God spoke to Joshua three times to instill confidence and tranquility in him, He told him to be strong and brave, Joshua based himself on the promises of God, he had faith and relied on what God was guaranteeing him through his word.
God showed Joshua the commitment of not abandoning them to be with the Israelites until they reached the promised land and more, to us also makes a very similar promise since he travels with us day by day in this land but the promise of God for us goes much further since we dwell through his Holy Spirit.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever; 17 even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; but you know him, because he dwells with you, and will be in you.
John 14:16-17
If as with Joshua, God also promises us that he goes before us paving the way and as with the people of Israel he dealt with their enemies before they arrived, God promised them that even if they faced the worst battles they would have victory as long as they remained obedient and loyal to God. Jesus Christ has won the battle that lay ahead of us, he has defeated the enemy once and for all with his victory on the cross, the Lord himself has assured our redemption and in this way we have access to that promised land, we have a place in God's family assured forever.
#####Let us ask God to help us understand and above all to trust in these promises to face day after day everything that comes with total courage and confidence that God gives us victory.

Cuándo decidimos poner toda nuestra confianza en Dios, enfrentaremos todos los desafíos con mayor valentía ya que tenemos la seguridad que Dios está con nosotros y nos ayuda a vencer.
Aconteció después de la muerte de Moisés siervo de Jehová, que Jehová habló a Josué hijo de Nun, servidor de Moisés, diciendo: 2 Mi siervo Moisés ha muerto; ahora, pues, levántate y pasa este Jordán, tú y todo este pueblo, a la tierra que yo les doy a los hijos de Israel. 3 Yo os he entregado, como lo había dicho a Moisés, todo lugar que pisare la planta de vuestro pie. 4 Desde el desierto y el Líbano hasta el gran río Éufrates, toda la tierra de los heteos hasta el gran mar donde se pone el sol, será vuestro territorio. 5 Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida; como estuve con Moisés, estaré contigo; no te dejaré, ni te desampararé. 6 Esfuérzate y sé valiente; porque tú repartirás a este pueblo por heredad la tierra de la cual juré a sus padres que la daría a ellos. 7 Solamente esfuérzate y sé muy valiente, para cuidar de hacer conforme a toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés te mandó; no te apartes de ella ni a diestra ni a siniestra, para que seas prosperado en todas las cosas que emprendas. 8 Nunca se apartará de tu boca este libro de la ley, sino que de día y de noche meditarás en él, para que guardes y hagas conforme a todo lo que en él está escrito; porque entonces harás prosperar tu camino, y todo te saldrá bien. 9 Mira que te mando que te esfuerces y seas valiente; no temas ni desmayes, porque Jehová tu Dios estará contigo en dondequiera que vayas.
Josué 1:1-9
Importante que a medida que recorremos la biblia encontramos muchísimos hombres valientes y podemos preguntarnos ¿qué tienen en común Josué, Daniel, el apóstol Pablo o los discípulos del señor?. Podemos pensar que todos tenían en común el hecho que son seguidores de cristo pero aquí el denominador común es la valentía que ellos tenían simplemente por confiar sus vidas en las manos de Dios.
Recordemos que Josué fue llamado a ser líder en guiar al pueblo hacia la tierra prometida, pudo haber pensado muchísimas cosas como por ejemplo ¿y si el pueblo no me apoya como su líder? Y muchas otras preguntas más, Dios le habló a Josué tres veces para infundirle confianza y tranquilidad, le dijo que fuese fuerte Y valiente, Josué se basó en las promesas de Dios tuvo fe y se apoyó en lo que Dios le estaba garantizando a través de su palabra.
Dios le demostró Josué el compromiso de no abandonarles de estar junto con los israelitas hasta llegar a la tierra prometida y más, a nosotros también nos hace una promesa muy parecido ya que viaja con nosotros día a día en esta tierra pero la promesa de Dios para nosotros va mucho más allá ya que more nosotros a través de su espíritu Santo.
16 Y yo rogaré al Padre, y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre: 17 el Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir, porque no le ve, ni le conoce; pero vosotros le conocéis, porque mora con vosotros, y estará en vosotros.
Juan 14:16-17
Si como con Josué también Dios nos promete que va delante de nosotros abriendo camino y como con el pueblo de Israel se ocupó de sus enemigos antes que ellos llegaran, Dios le prometió que aunque enfrente en las peores batallas tendrían la victoria mientras permanecía obedientes y leales a Dios. Jesucristo ha ganado la batalla que teníamos por delante, ha vencido al enemigo una vez y para siempre con su victoria en la cruz, el señor mismo ha asegurado nuestra redención y de esa forma tenemos acceso a esa tierra prometida tenemos un lugar en la familia de Dios asegurado para siempre.
#####Pidamos a Dios que nos ayude a entender y sobretodo que confiemos en estas promesas para enfrentar día tras día todo lo que se presente con total valentía y seguridad en que Dios nos da la victoria.
