In this life we are very eager to achieve success, but when we think of this word, what do we think of? Perhaps we simply think of the greatest wealth we can achieve or of power. But how does God define power?

8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8

Jesus Christ is our example in everything, and it is convenient to follow his example in everything. Today we see the way in which Jesus Christ served, he performed the most humiliating task that we could contemplate in the history of humanity, among the different tasks of service that he performed was taking off his cloak, washing the dirty feet of his disciples, even when he knew that they themselves would abandon him.

The best thing was that Jesus Christ was crucified for those people whom he loved with all his being, those people who had been created in his image and likeness. That sacrifice of Jesus Christ also allowed the salvation of all those who even shouted "crucify him" to him.

The Lord asks us to be an example of his service. Many of his followers obeyed Jesus, many were martyrs of the faith who suffered and even died as an example of Jesus Christ. But even if we never go through what Jesus Christ or any of his followers went through, the Lord still wants us to serve him with our lives, and the greatest service consists of having a relationship with him.

Let us ask God to give us the ability to serve, to give him our hearts so that man can be completely in our lives and thus dedicate this life to living that mind in service and love for him.

Jesucristo para nosotros es un gran ejemplo en todo, Jesús eligió servir a los demás, aún cuando esas personas le abandonaría en su peor momento.

Jesús le respondió: Si no te lavare, no tendrás parte conmigo. 9 Le dijo Simón Pedro: Señor, no solo mis pies, sino también las manos y la cabeza. 10 Jesús le dijo: El que está lavado, no necesita sino lavarse los pies, pues está todo limpio; y vosotros limpios estáis, aunque no todos. 11 Porque sabía quién le iba a entregar; por eso dijo: No estáis limpios todos.
12 Así que, después que les hubo lavado los pies, tomó su manto, volvió a la mesa, y les dijo: ¿Sabéis lo que os he hecho? 13 Vosotros me llamáis Maestro, y Señor; y decís bien, porque lo soy. 14 Pues si yo, el Señor y el Maestro, he lavado vuestros pies, vosotros también debéis lavaros los pies los unos a los otros. 15 Porque ejemplo os he dado, para que como yo os he hecho, vosotros también hagáis.

En esta vida estamos muy deseosos de alcanzar el éxito, pero cuando pensamos en esta palabra ¿en qué pensamos? Quizás simplemente pensamos en la máxima riqueza que podemos alcanzar o en el poder, ¿Pero cómo es que Dios define el poder?.

8 Oh hombre, él te ha declarado lo que es bueno, y qué pide Jehová de ti: solamente hacer justicia, y amar misericordia, y humillarte ante tu Dios.

Miqueas 6:8

Jesucristo es nuestro ejemplo en todo, y es conveniente seguir su ejemplo en todo. Hoy vemos la manera en que Jesucristo servía, realizó la tarea más humillante que podíamos contemplar en la historia del humanidad, entre las diferentes tareas de servicio que realizó fue quitarse su manto, lavó los pies sucios de su discípulos, aún cuando él sabía que ellos mismos lo abandonarían.

Lo máximo fue que Jesucristo fue crucificado por aquellas personas a quien amo con todo su ser, aquellas personas quienes habían sido creados a su imagen y semejanza. Ese sacrificio de Jesucristo también permitió la salvación de todos aquellos aún de quién es le gritaban "crucifiquenle".

El señor nos pide que seamos ejemplo de su servicio. Muchos de sus seguidores obedecieron a Jesús, muchos fueron mártires de la fe que sufrieron y hasta murieron como ejemplo de Jesucristo. Pero aunque jamás pasemos por lo que pasó Jesucristo alguno de sus seguidores, el señor aún desea que le sirvamos con nuestra vida, y el mayor servicio consiste en tener una relación con el.

Pidamos a Dios que nos de la capacidad de servicio, de entregarle nuestro corazón para que el hombre completamente en nuestras vidas y así dediquemos esta vida a vivir esa mente en servicio y amor a él.
