In response to the question
Spreading the gospel is a mandate from our Lord Jesus Christ to all who believe in his death and resurrection.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Preaching the gospel is the heart beat of God because he does not want the death of a sinner and there is great joy in heaven over a soul that repented
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
So if we continue in like manner of not spreading the gospel as we are expected to there are several consequences, that may eventually affect us as an individual or nation.
And also we will give account of our deeds
Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
By not spreading the gospel is a deliberate act of disobedience to God and disobedient is a sin.
1 Samuel 15:22-23 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
Finally let make spreading the gospel a day to day activity to bring more joy in heaven and also there is blessing attached to spreading the gospel.
