Does it mean I don't offend people?

Hello brethren, I found this simplified YouTube teaching on (Forgiveness of Sin) by the man of God Pastor Eli, and it was quite inspiring. You stand to benefit alot just going through.

Pastor Eli's YouTube video

First he said according to the scriptures, there are two types of sin which are: sin unto death, and sin not unto death. This we can see in 1 John 5:16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that (NIV)

From the different biblical references he spotted, citing 1 John 5:16, Matt 18:21-22, Heb 10:26-27.

Well! Most people have given the definition that sin means ;Simple Instruction Neglected. But whatever be the definition, we can see that there are certain simple Instructions that can lead to death and those that don't.

We could recall how people refrained from the sin of fornication for instance, when we first learnt about HIV and AIDS. Then there was no possible abatement to the virus as people die after contracting the virus but due to the improvement in research and technology, most people are no longer concerned about the sin of fornication that could lead to death through the acquisition of this virus. This' an example of sun unto death.

There are many other sins which could lead to death like: alcoholism, quarrelling, and smoking which could cause cancer.

I believe that there is no repentance in the grave, and according to Heb 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment (NIV)

So the dead have no time to amend their lives, it is the living that has this opportunity. God has not entrusted our lives into our hands rather we are to be blamed if we live in those sins which could lead to death and unfortunately die in them.

What is the will of God about sin

God doesn't plan for anyone to die in those sins that could lead to death rather he has forgiven us in Christ that was why he came.
In Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.(NIV)

The debt we owe regarding sin has already been paid by Christ, so we have to live like free people indeed not as slaves to those sins because Christ has paid for our lies, Fornication, quarrelling etc.

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth (KJV)

This is the agenda of God concerning our lives, he never wished us death but salvation through Christ and to come to know him died for our sins.

Most times, we forget that sin wasn't inherent in man until the first man incurred it as a debt but Christ has paid for them all on Calvary, which is actually our joy for living.

Next the man of God talked about forgiving others their sins. This is actually where I drew my capitulation.

Matthew 18:21-22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven (KJV)

Does this part of the scripture exonerate me from offending people NO! This doesn't really mean that we don't offend people or that people doesn't offend us but rather it means that there is no extent to which someone could offend you that should prompt a retaliation because no one can offend you about 490 times in a day.

I heard the preacher say; if a sin is not up to 490 times, it can be forgiven. So God wants us to forgive people their wrongs because we are living in a world where offences are inevitable but for us to be God's Children, we must make room in our heart to forgive others

Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses (KJV)

So God knows that people must offend us. That's why he foretold us that we must forgive them so that he (God) can forgive us also, whether it be the one that could lead to death or the ones that couldn't lead to death.

God bless the man of God for sharing with us and God bless us for going through my own observations from his message. Thanks for your noble visit bye and see you in our zoom meeting today as we study the word of God together.

You too thanks

1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth (KJV)

This is the agenda of God concerning our lives, he never wished us death but salvation through Christ and to come to know him died for our sins.

As you pointed out, God desires for everyone to experience salvation and come to understand the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).

This highlights the significance of spreading the gospel and sharing God's love with those around us. By doing so, we help others discover the transformative power of God's grace and forgiveness in their lives.

Yeah, this is the will of God for us, which is to come to know Christ who is the truth. I do also share the word of God with friends which is a priority if we've been saved. Thanks for your observation and noble visit on my publication.

Yes, it is our pleasure to review well created posts like this. God bless you brother

Thanks for your perusal over the content also, it's my pleasure you came.

Thanks for sharing what you have learned. Of course, no one is perfect, and we all mistake something but we should trust in God that He will forgive us our sins if we come to him.

Yeah, that's the reality, first is realizing our mistakes and then coming turning back to him.

Thanks for posting. We're not perfect, but we should always try to live right

Yeah you're correct, we have to do the much we could to live as to please God.
