Hello friends, hope everyone is doing good. Today marked another incredible time to join the Brethren in listening to the word of God from the MCGI community zoom meeting broadcast.

Brother Daniel talked at length on how believers should live their lives using the following scriptures:

Phil 1:27, Phil 2:15, Matt 5:43-47, Gal 6:10, James 2:1, Rom 7:12, II Tim 3:16, Phil 3:2, Isaiah 56:11, Isaiah 34:16, Prov 6:23, Matt 19:11&12, Rom 7:2, Rom 3:19, I Cor 10:13, Eph 4:28

From the reference in Philippians 1:27
Brother Daniel encouraged everyone through this part of the scripture even as written by Apostle Paul on the need of not quarreling with people who have a contrary opinion regarding the word of God.

We are to have our conversations to be in consensus with the gospel of Christ and never to quarrel with people especially regarding the faith but we are to stand fast in Christ.

This is the beauty of our religion, no one dies for not believing or agreeing with the gospel of Christ rather everyone is given the privilege to make our choices relative to our intentions convincingly.

We don't strive by fighting people who didn't believe in the gospel, rather through disseminating the gospel, through prayers and every other good work.

From Philippians 2:14 & 15, we are advised through the scriptures not to do anything especially godly work by murmuring.

When we do things in the name of God without murmuring, we'll never be rebuked by God and he'll make us shine as light we are.
We should recall that God gave himself to us without compulsion, and it will be in His pleasure if we would give back to him, by doing his good will without murmuring or disputing with anyone.

When we give ourselves to the good works of God, then we'll be accounted as the Son's of God without blame in the midst of a perverse generation.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;(KJV)

We are to love everyone and never to hate people probably on account of our differences with them but rather we are to love and even pray for those who hate us.

No one would be a perfect believer if he doesn't forgive others their wrongs because we also have offended God in different ways, so when we forgive and even do good to those that have wronged us, God will also pardon our wrongs and hence count us worthy of His children.

Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.(KJV)

I really love how Brother Daniel expantiated this verse of the scripture. He lucidly stated that no one could do good except he has something to offer. For instance someone is in need of food and another had pity on him with the intention of helping out but having nothing, thtat means his/her pity is vain since there is no effectiveness in his ability to assist.

I have also prayed for God to bless me on all sides so I can give to people who are in need.

So this verse of the scripture intends that we do good to all people if we have what it takes to help them and more especially, to those who are in the Church with us because we can easily dictate their needs since we meet each other weekly if not on a daily basis.

In James 2:1, we are encouraged not to work in favoritism or being biased in our affairs with people. We are to treat everyone equally whether great or small which is an intentional display that all men are equal before God and we should further see everyone from God's perspective and not human perspective.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:(KJV)

From this admonition of Apostle Paul, we have to view the scriptures as the mind of God poured out on paper through the spirit by the hand of men.

There is no scripture that is not good. If it doesn't fit in correction, it must fit in reprove and if it doesn't fit in reprove, it must fit in teaching. As believers, we also have to see every part of the scripture as an inspiration from God that is meant for our good.

The Issue of Divorce

Brother Daniel also touched this area of life as many couples would easily file for divorce when things aren't working out well in their relationship. Nonetheless he used the following scriptures to expantiate this phase; Rom 7:2, Rom 3:19

Romans 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.(KJV)

From this scripture, we can observe that no couple is permitted to divorce each other except on account of death.

This issue is so rampant even in Christianity. The rate at which people got divorced these days is highly alarming, and for us to follow a biblical review of couple-hood, it is observed as a perpetual engagement of which it is only death that has the ability to separate couples.

Nonetheless, we have to be fully aware of what it takes to be Couples before going into this engagement. Hence, we have to pray and seek divine assistance even when we think that the choice is ours to make.

Let's not think that we can make a perfect relationship without divine assistance because marriage is an institution obviously recognized by God and since God is the admin of marriage, He really understands how to make it work perfectly.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.(KJV)

This is factual about the scriptures. The law was given to the Israelites through Moses but grace and truth was given to us fhrouy Jesus.

The law was given for us to see our lapses as humans and admit our guilts before God but grace was given to exonerate us from the damnation of the law.

Although the scriptures stated in Rom that the dictates of the law were for those under the law, it does not mean or intend that after marrying or settling down with your spouse, you then divorce him/her with children. Although in such cases, if there is still divorce after marriage, the Bible advises that the divorced couples should remain single else if they should remarry another person, they are committing adultery at that point.

Conclusion

We have to love everyone without being partial to them. We also have to see all men as equal as God had intended.

We have to do good to people according to our capacity as God has blessed us.

We have to always forgive those who have wronged us so that our heavenly father can forgive us.

We have to respect marriage as an institution of God, and also seek divine assistance from God who established marriage.

I believe it's better not to marry than breaking the heart of one's spouse with the intention of serving God, which isn't proper because crime against man is crime against God.

Thanks for going through my publication for today. I'm also inviting you over to the MCGI Mass Indoctrination program where you study the word of God in order to edify your spirit. God bless the vessels through which this program was administered to us bye and 💗

Brother you said it all, most people hurriedly went into marriages they weren't prepared for and you find them wanting a divorce just few years after marriage. If you are not ready please don't enter to avoid committing the abomination called Divorce. Thank you brother for sharing this with us, God bless you.

Thanks for your response Brother, yeah I think this is the case in many places of the world. We have to be prepared on all sides before going into marriage because we will definitely meet the deserving and the undeserving. We don't need a divorce because we are signatory to all the outcomes in the relationship and so must endure till death intrudes,

We should live to fulfill the purpose of God which is to do good works. Thanks for posting

Yeah that's just the whole duty of man which is the conclusion of the matter.

Thanks for sharing this interesting topic with us.

Thanks for going tht Brother.
