As Christians we need to not be ignorant of the devices of the enemies. The bible made us know that the enemy roams around like a roaring Lion that is seeking for whom to devour. This should put us in a state a vigilance. As we go about our lives we should not fail to be on guard against the plans of our enemy, the devil.
Matthew 26.41 - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Our inner man is what helps us withstand the devices of the enemy. But the problem is that most times our flesh gets in the way. This ends up suppressing the spirit within us. We should learn how to put our flesh under subjection in order for our spirit to function optimally.
We either let the spirit rule us or the flesh. If we let the flesh to have it's way it doesn't benefit us, instead it does the opposite. But if we allow the spirit, we achieve a lot by doing so. It is only by letting the spirit gain full control that we makes for an effective relationship with God.
