Why does God take the lives of good people sooner than those evil ones? | The Old Path

Bible readings: Isaiah 57:1

One thing that we should understand about God is that He is ever merciful. It is not His desire that any should perish, therefore He gives everyone a chance to come to repentance. The main purpose of Jesus coming to earth was purpose of sinners. The length we live on earth doesn't matter, it's where we go to after we leave this earth that matters the most.

Jesus himself didn't live a very life on earth. His time on earth was just thirty three years and He returned back to heaven to be with His father, whereas the people who persecuted and prosecuted him lived longer than himself. Jesus even made a prayer to His father to forgive them for they didn't know what they were doing, a prayer that we would hardly make for our enemies.

As a good father, it is expected that you be patient with your child, especially if they are going astray because through that you stand a chance to get the child to come to his senses. That's the same way God is patient with people who are yet to be saved.

Isaiah 57:1 - The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

The death of a saint so not be considered as something that is unjust. The reason why God allows something certain things happen could be for the greater good even though we may fail to not see and understand it this way. Death in Jesus is a means to eternal peace and it can be seen as a good thing especially if it is God's way of rescuing us from the evil of this world.
