Baptism is part of the experiences that a Christian is expected to go through in his Christian race. If Jesus could get himself baptized by someone He is superior to, how much more us you are His followers. Getting baptized was one of the things that Christ did while He was on earth for the purpose of setting an example for us to follow.
Just like when He took communion with His disciples, He told them to continue in that act in remembrance of Him.
The same thing also goes with baptism. We are meant to be in compliance with every instructions been laid out by Christ. Baptism should be done in the name of the Lord and no other name. If we get baptized through any other name it is done in vain.
This is why we ought to be mindful of the person who get let baptize us. It is important to recognize the person of Jesus Christ while we undergo baptism.
