Jesus told His disciples that one of the ways that He knows them as His disciples is when they love one another. It is illogical to say that we are Jesus' disciples if there is no love in us. Our Christianity is incomplete if it is void of love because it is because of love that God sent His son, Jesus, to die on our behalf and that was how the church came to be on earth. So, whenever we see strife in the body of Christ we are completely working against the will of God.
Matthew 22.37 - Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
We know what it means to love when we love God because God is love. When loving God we don't love Him partially. The scripture says to love Him with all you soul, heart, and mind. This means everything within us. Our love to God should be absolute. When we love God we begin to see the need to love others as well.
In our day-to-day lives, we should try as much as possible to walk in love. One of the ways we can be identified as someone who loves is when other people benefits from us. Love makes us concerned for the needs of other people and not just ourselves, thereby finding means by which we can meet those meet those needs and make the person's live better.
