Greetings beloved brothers and sisters. Everyday in the mass indoctrination provides us with the ability to hear God's word through God's servant brother Eli Soriano. Marriage is one of the practices that is observed in Christianity and so many other religions as well. But we don't just go into marriage like that.
Before one goes ahead with marriage it is important to that we are aware of what God expects from us in marriage. Many people who lacks this understanding or vehemently neglect this opens up problems for themselves. We ought to be mindful of the things that are involved when talking about marriage.
1 Peter 3:1 - Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives
In the case of marriage, God placed the man as the head above the woman. The woman being subject to the man doesn't
make her any less relevant but for the sake of orderliness someone needs to be the head amongst them and God made it so that it be the man who takes up this responsibility. It doesn't make sense for a woman to seek authority over the man in marriage. It simply means she is ignorant of the word of God.
1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
A woman is deserving of her honor as well in a marriage. One of the traits a man should possess in marriage is that of patience towards his wife. A man should understand that his wife is the weaker vessel, so he should try his best to overlook some attitudes of her. These are few instructions given to people in marriage which when observed can provoke answers to their prayers made to God.
