To the best of our capability, we are to continue to walk in love. We way of the believers is the way of love. In the days of the early Christians they all walked in one accord, practicing love and unity among themselves. They made sure to meet the needs of their brethrens in their midst whenever they were in lack.
Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
The focus on today's teaching was on the aspect of good works. Everything we do, God sees it. So whether it be good or bad, God sees it from heaven. Having this knowledge, it wouldn't be a wise thing to dwell on doing evil.
1 Corinthians 5:11 - But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
12 - For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13 - But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
Apostle Paul admonishes us to detach from people who walk in the path of unrighteousness. Our involvement with them can be corruptive to our spiritual life and can also hinder us from doing good works which is what God expects from us.
Other passages discussed in today's teaching are:
Matthew 5:16, Proverbs 20:20
Ezekiel 34:10, James 5:19–20, Phillipians 2:16, Ezekiel 34:2
We should walk in love. Thank you for sharing
