Beloved i welcome you all to my blog in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, it’s a great privilege for me to be here again and share with you what i learnt from today’s teaching.
Today i learnt that there are people who return to their past life after they have accepted Christ,the Bible describes these kind of people as dog’s because dog’s always return back to their vomit’ you cannot drink from the cup of our Lord Jesus Christ and also dine on the devil’s table.The cup of Christ which you drank from symbolises the church of God and when you serve in the house of God you don’t have any business with the devil and it’s agents.
Philemon 1:21
In the church of God a child of God is being led by the Holy Spirit, as a child of God we should do everything the Holy Spirit instructed us to do and also there are somethings we should do ourselves that pleases God even though it’s not commanded to us by God,As children of God there are things that are willingly and voluntary right to do. God gave us good sense of reasoning and a brain to think, but we must think rightly and positively to do the things that please God and good to others.
Making vows is a self decision and shouldn’t be forced on anyone, once you are forced to make a vow it’s no longer a vow but a manipulation, you can’t tell somebody not to get married, The Bible said “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord”we can’t be wiser than God.
Act 18:18
The apostle of Christ also make vows and fulfil them, one thing is to make a vow and you must fulfil and keep it.
We have two different types of vows:
(1)A vow to God.
You can make a vow with God when asking something from him, this is between you and God and you must fulfil it.
(2)A vow to yourself.
You can make a vow to yourself to stop drinking,smoking or womanising,and this vow is between you and your body that you should fulfil, don’t be a dog that go back to it’s vomits.
Making vow’s are very necessary it’s can create a strong bond between you and God, it’s can also make you determined to leave your bad habit’s.
2 Corinthians 9:17
Giving should be from your heart, what your heart directs is what you should give, don’t let anyone force or oppress you to give what you don’t intend to give, There are some churches who forces their members to give’ some call it church building project offering,or tell you to give ten percent from your income that you make,Christ did not instruct us to give by force’ giving should come from the heart’ this is not an attack on any church, but the true teaching of Christ in the Bible and the doctrine’s of our Lord Jesus Christ.
