A Beginner's Guide To Reading The Bible.... MCGI Topic Review.

When I began to personally engage with Scriptures through personal Bible study, I understood that we needed the help of the Holy Spirit to be able to engage effectively.

We must pray before reading and we do not read so fast because we can. As we read, we must meditate on the things we read and open our hearts to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

You will be refreshed after reading the New Testament and the Old Testament. You will be refreshed, you will discover truths. I find it more profitable when you read first the New Testament and then go back to the books of the Old Testament. Why? Because we do not have much time, we have to concentrate on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Concentrating first on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, will make everything so clear.

Accustom yourself first to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and when you encounter teachings that seem to be contradicting the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ in the books of the Old Testament, you will have that knowledge that there was really a change in the law. As there was a change in the priesthood, so also there was a change in the law. You will know the entire story of the truth and the religion that God taught in the Bible from Judaism to Christianity. Hebrews 7:12;

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law".

You must expect, when you go through all the pages of the Bible, that from the Old Testament books up to the New Testament books, there will be changes. Because when the priesthood of Moses and Aaron was changed to the priesthood of the Lord Jesus Christ, there must be a necessity also of the change of the law and you will discover the whole truth when you read both testaments.
