How Do We Deal With Addiction In Life (Part 1)?. MCGI Topic Review.

Addiction is a problem now, a worldwide problem, not only in alcohol but more than alcohol. Because drugs are now so potent that even in Brazil, they have introduced a drug that can practically destroy a person in 24 hours. It is called the zombie drug (flakka). This drug can cause a feeling of extreme relaxation, panic attack, stroke or even convert the user into a cannibal overnight.

Not only in Brazil, but the whole world has been infected by something evil, by those who are destroying the earth. The question now is? How do we overcome addiction in life?

Bro Soriano explains that though he smoked before he became a member of the church of God but as soon as he understood that it was prohibited by God, he threw away his lighter. He was never addicted, so on a personal level, he doesn't know how to deal with it but the Bible tells us something about it, that these addictions are pleasures of the flesh. If it is not bringing pleasure to the flesh, then you wouldn't be addicted, it is something that gives the user pleasure and relaxation, and the high feeling is as one who is flying, something that is very pleasing to the flesh. In Hebrews 11:24-25, the Bible says;

Moses had access to all the pleasures of sin in Egypt, being the only son to Pharaoh's daughter. We know that Egypt was an advanced kingdom in those days of Moses but he chose to suffer affliction with the people of God, the Israelites, who were slaves in Egypt.

The pleasure of sin is very evidently felt by the flesh, our flesh always wants pleasure and the pleasure it wants, is always the pleasures of sin.
