You as a parent must be the first one to know the admonitions, the law, the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There will be no broken families on earth if every family on the face of the earth will abide by the laws of God. A loving husband to the wife, a wife subjective to the will of the husband, both living in harmony and obeying the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ, children who are respectful towards their parents as the Bible says in;
Ephesians 6:1-4;
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise—
3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Parents should first listen to the admonition of the Lord because it's their responsibility to nurture their children in the admonition of the Lord. How can you pass it on to your children if you are ignorant of those things? But if you are grounded in the teachings of the gospel, you would be able to pass it on to your children through word of mouth, through the examples that are being practiced daily in your life. The way of the Bible is to maintain a godly family;
Malachi 2:15;
Has not the one God made and sustained for us the spirit of life? And what does he desire? Godly offspring. So take heed to yourselves, and let none be faithless to the wife of his youth.
God seeks a godly seed, He seeks godly children and that is why parents should bring up their children in the administration of the Lord.
