Should We Believe Our Ancestors? (Part 1)... MCGI Topic Review.

If we are going to be Biblical, we have somebody appointed by God to believe in. In Matthew 17:5, it says;

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold, a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear ye him.

That is the fact! That while Peter yet spake, he was not yet done speaking or suggesting to the Lord Jesus Christ to make tabernacles for Moses and Elijah when a bright cloud overshadowed them and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased, hear ye him.

Let us not hear anybody anymore, not Moses anymore, not Elijah anymore because it is not the time of Elijah and Moses. Their time is gone!

Our dispensation is the time of the Lord Jesus Christ, a God-sent teacher in whom we must believe.

Hebrews 1:1-2;

1 God, who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,2 hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the world.

As God hath spoken, He spoke to the Prophet in time past, but the Bible tells us in verse 2, that in these last days, God hath spoken unto us through His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things. So, it is the person of the Lord Jesus Christ that the God of the Bible recommends that we must hear, that we must listen to. We must hear Him, the Father said, in obedience to the Father.

We must believe Him, not our ancestors. I hope I'm not offending anyone. While our ancestors can act as our guides through the right path, believing in our ancestors sometimes can betray the truth because they are human and therefore, not free from mistakes. I'm not saying that ancestors are telling lies, but sometimes instead of guiding us to the truth, our ancestors may guide us to the path going to a place far from God.

Matthew 17:1-5;

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Jesus Christ is our complete guide!
