What Does The Bible Say About Names?

The Bible is not a book of names, if you want to know the name of the man who asked Aaron to make an idol, are you not more interested in the name of the wife of Apostle Peter? Both names are not contained in the Bible neither is the name of Apostle Peter's mother-in-law. None of the daughters of Adam was named in the Bible, the only ones named are the sons of Adam and Eve. The first was Cain, then Abel, then Seth etcetera.

You cannot judge the Bible by names else it would be found wanting, because there are so many people in the Bible who were not named or mentioned. Even the daughter of Pharaoh who kept Moses as her own child was also not mentioned.

In the movie of the "Ten Commandments", a man made movie, there are so many errors because Pharaoh lived, but in the Bible, Pharaoh drowned, along with his army of chariots. None was left!

Psalms 106:9-11;

He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led them through the depths as through a desert. 10 He saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them. 11 The waters covered their adversaries; not one of them survived.

Psalm 136:15;

But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.

He overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea and none was left alive. So we cannot trust the movie as it doesn't tell us the whole truth, though it's a very nice movie. We cannot use it as a basis for the truth because many of the circumstances in that movie are not the truth.

Exodus 32:1;

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

Not just one person but many people, pushed Aaron into making the golden image, their names were not mentioned.

This is an answer to a question raised by a member, "What Is the name of the daredevil Pharaoh?

Well, we are not interested in that because even a lot of good persons were not mentioned, so we shouldn't be interested in knowing his name or the name of any other daredevil for that matter.

MCGI cares!!!
