WHAT I LEARNT FROM THE MESSAGE:
We have an obligation as brethren
We shouldn't despise the gathering of our brethren as stated in the scripture, we should always come into the house of God
The focus of the gathering is not the contribution but to see each other, hear from one another and help one another, provoking one another to love. The focus is to exhort one another.
Bro Eli gave us sn example by giving a brother a shirt because he saw his need in the gathering.
Gathering together helps to provoke one another to love.
Lets consider one another and to show concern and care to one another.
Help brethren which are in need to be provoked unto good works.
We were admonished to work and pray so that we don't fall into temptation
One of the doctrines that we must obey is to gather together and show our care and concern and to exhort one another.
In order to maintain our christian life, we need to show brotherly love, exhortation and showing care and concern to one another.
The focus of the false church is to collect money but the true church is to exhort.
We shouldn't show partiality in the church of God. We shouldn't judge according to the dressing of the brethren, we shouldn't despise those that are poorly dressed.
Everyone should be treated equally in the house of God despite their riches or financial status
There are people who are really poor in the house of God and they shouldn't be made or treated less than others.
There is joy in the heart when we gather in the house of God
The gathering has a program in the Bible.
The brethren in the Bible gathered on the 1st day of the week, the 1st day of the week in the Bible is on Sunday.
We should devote more time to studying the word of God.
Things we should do when we gather should include, singing psalms unto God, let everyone play the role in the gathering, everyone should sing their psalms, there is need for singing, singing is one of the most joyful activities in life, singing brings joy to the heart.
Angels have been singing before the world began, songs is older than the earth, angels still sing in heaven.
The world has measurements, in the Bible stars means angels, the morning stars sang unto God
Music was existing before the world was created, the creation of the world is a good thing and the angels sang unto God.
We sing for everything, for the flag, for our mothers, fathers, for our lovers and spouses.
When God was creating the earth, the angels sang to God, the 24 angels still sing to God.
When christ was born, the angels sang, in the coming judgement, the angels would sing.
Singing is very important in our gathering.
When singing, we should sing unto God with grace in our hearts, we shouldn't sing unto Mary or any other person.
The sacrifice of praise should be given unto God continually
We should glorify God with songs and also with instrument.
There is deliverance that God performs when we sing.
David worshipped God with harp and drove out the evil spirit from Saul.
Singing casts out evil spirit, it is sufficient to drive out devils.
With singing alone the power of God is already manifested
The gathering is a solemn gathering, therefore we should sing unto God.
Inasmuch that we should sing in the church, we should give a greater part for learning the doctrines of Christ because that is the essence of the gathering.
The doctrine is the most important part of the gathering.
If anyone wants to speak in tongues in the gathering, there should be an interpreter otherwise the person should remain quiet so that it doesn't cause nuisance and noise in the house of God.
Let all things in the house of God be done to edifying and should be done in orderliness.
HOW THE MESSAGE HAS AFFECTED MY LIFE
I must sing unto God and not condemn the gathering of the brethren.
I must sing with grace in my heart.
When I'm worshipping God, I must sing to God despite how bad my voice would be.
I once thought that anyone can speak in tongues even if there isn't any interpreter but now I know that if there is no interpreter, there should be no tongue.
We should gather on the 1st of the week.
The doctrine of Adventist is a lie which says if anyone worships on Sunday, the person becomes part of the antichrist.
The old christians worshipped God on Sunday
