In the true church we are meant to do things voluntarily.
Giving contributions in the church is also a decision out of a clear conscience. In the true church you give according to your hearts desires.
2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
In the church of God the apostles taught that when you give contributions it should be voluntary, you decide how much to give.
Saint paul while in Macedonia that the people gave according to their power willing.
2 Corinthians 8:3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves.
A donation has no fixed price the person donating chooses the amount to donate.
Tithing is no longer a commandment in the time of christ, it was a commandment during the time of the Israelites. But we are commanded by jesus Christ to give cheerfully.
Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: 44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
The contribution made by the brethren are used to preach the gospel to the whole world.
1 Corinthians 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
In the early church their are things that God did not tell them to do but they did it voluntarily.
Psalms 116:18 I will pay my vows to the LORD Now in the presence of all His people.
Jeremiah 30:19 Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Through christ we should offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise unto God continually.
Hebrew 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
With our lips we should glorify God we should give thanks in everything.
Psalms 50:23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.”
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
