Prayer is making a request to God. Prayer is not a story or a narrative. It is prohibited by God to pray in vain repetition.
it is a requset made unto God. A petition to the father. God does not forsake those who believe in him. We as Christians are meant to have a good relationship with God and our prayer life should be pleasing unto him.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray without ceasing.
We are to pray consistently, but not praying repetitively. We are to pray when we wake up and before we sleep at night. Our prayer should be simple, make your words few. God is not deaf he hears you clearly. We do not need to repeat our words.
A prayer should be simple, brief, precise, concise and not repetitive. God is not slow to understand.
Ecclesiastes 5:2 Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few.
Make your words as few as possible. A pray is precise, and short.
If you call on God let it be out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. If you are calling on God, it must be with a pure heart, God is delighted to hear the prayer of the upright. God will hear us if we have a pure heart.
If a person has a wicked heart God will not listen to their prayers. Our hearts should be pure for God to hear our prayer. 1 peter 3:10 For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
Evil things defile our hearts and make us unclean. Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it.
We should not only pray, but also have a pure heart. God does not hear the pleas of sinners; rather, God hears the petitions of a man who does not have an evil heart.
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
It is The word of God that will cleans our mouth and purify our hearts.
