The inward man and the outward man are different,the inward man is the inner man and the ourtward man is physical.
the inner and the outward man are been compared together
2 Corinthians 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
though our outward man perish ,the inner man is renewed daily
2 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
things that are seen are temporal but the things that are not seen are eternal.
matthew 7:15
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
from the verse above,the man of God is of two beings there is an outward man and an inward man ,some might have the inward man and not the outward man
Outwardly they are men but inwardly they are beastliness.
there are two types of man,one which is a man inwardly and the other a beast inwardly
2peter 2:22
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
there are people who prefer evil,they are mire
proverbs 26:11
As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
the point proved is that there are men who are man outwardly but beasts inwardly
what is the original meaning of man?
genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
the original meaning of man is the creature created after the image of God, something good and not evil,but now there are human outside but beasts inside.
there are still men who are human both inwardly and outwardly
how to discern an inward man and a beast
romans 7:22
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
the inward man delights in the law ,he obeys the law of God
any man who treats his wife badly is a beasts.
but the inward man has happiness in the law like david
Psalm 40:8
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
