hebrews 8:13
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

it is stated a new convenant in the above Bible verse ,so it means that there is a new convenant, the old and new convenants are different.

hebrews 8:7
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

the main reason of the new testament (convenant)is because the old testament is past away the new convenant is what is in existence now .

the old commandment ended on the cross , the new convenant was given to the apostles by the holy spirit

acts 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

acts 1:2
Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Bro Eli said that if the old and new commandments are the same ,it is senseless
the reason why Jesus sent his new commandments through the holy Spirit to his disciples is because it is a new commandment
