It was another powerful day in the presence of God, God is really using his servant Bro Eli, it was a great teaching today.
Today we were taught so much about prayer the servant of God really taught us what prayer is all about and I'm so happy I learnt so much today about prayer, i his teachings he made us know how we should pray and what you should do while praying.
The Bible contains the word of God through it we learn the teachings of God, This words are what we are supposed to obey, there are many fake prophets and pastors trying to add to his word, but it is not right, God's word is complete, we should not add or subtract anything from it.
The servant of God has taken time to teach us the word of God from the Bible and making us know what is right and wrong.
Anything aside this teachings from the Bible is fake and should not be practiced.
What I learned from prayer today
Prayer is one of the commandment of God, God does not honor the prayer of a sinner so if we are praying we should pray with a pure heart so that our prayers will be answered.
PROVERBS 15:8 says the sacrifice of a sinner is a sin to God,
God hates the prayer of a sinner, he does not answer the prayer of a sinner, the prayer of a sinner is like a filthy rag in his sight.
Mathew 6:8 While praying we should avoid repetition of words God is the almighty God he already knows our heart Desire, he knows what we want from him so when praying we should repetition of words.
Before we call upon the Lord he has already answer our prayer so there's no need for repetition if it's not needed.
I learnt that if you want to pray we should not pray like the hypocrite who pray outside for people to see we should not behave like them we should abstain from that kind and form of prayer for it is against the teaching of God.
I also learnt that if we wants to pray we should kneel down, bow our head and position horizontally, for this is the right way to pray, it shows we have respect for God and we truly worship and honor him.
Why praying to God you should position well you should not just stay anyhow and pray to God because he is the God Almighty and creator of the universe, always show that you reverence him.
Men while praying you should not cover your head because it shows disrespect for God, so we should not cover our head.
Women always cover your head whenever you want to pray for it is against the Lord to pray with your head open.
I have really learnt so much about prayer today, at least I know what to do when I want to pray, today teaching has really help me, thank you servant of God for this wonderful teaching, hope to learn more tomorrow God bless you.
